Virginia Transformer Delivers for Ameren Substation with Help from PESCO
As part of our continued commitment to supporting critical infrastructure, we recently delivered and installed a unit for an Ameren Services substation in Mt. Sterling, Illinois. This 11.2/14 MVA, 68.8/13.2 kV power distribution unit will provide reliable, uninterrupted power to the local community. Jeff Moriarty, one of our representatives from Power Equipment Sales Company (PESCO), was on site to oversee the installation process.
Ameren is one of the largest utilities providers in Illinois, delivering electricity to 1.2 million electric and 816,000 natural gas customers in more than 1,200 communities throughout the state. Their delivery system includes approximately 4,500 miles of electric transmission lines, 46,000 miles of distribution lines, 18,200 miles of natural gas transmission and distribution mains, and 12 underground natural gas storage fields.
Virginia Transformer is proud to support the reliability and resiliency of the U.S. electrical grid by supplying the highest-quality transformers with the shortest lead times in the industry. Congratulations to all involved, and a special thanks to Jeff Moriarty and the PESCO team for their help installing this unit!
