VTC Supplies NA’s Largest Underground Mining Complex
We recently delivered and installed two E2X pad-mounted transformers for Consol Energy in southwestern Pennsylvania. These 1 MVA and 1.25 MVA power distribution units, both with a 4.16/0.48 kV rating, will help provide reliable power to the Bailey Mine in Aleppo Township.
Established in 1984, the Bailey Mine produces an average capacity of 11.5 million tons of thermal and crossover coal per year. It is one of three mines that constitute the Pennsylvania Mining Complex, which is the largest underground coal mine complex in North America.
Virginia Transformer is proud to support the mining industry by manufacturing the highest-quality transformers with the shortest lead times. Congratulations to all involved in engineering, shipping, and installing this unit!
